In the past year, over 1,100 new members across Colorado have joined AFSCME  Colorado and are now negotiating their first union contracts, bringing new energy and momentum to our growing movement. 

That includes workers at the Denver Art Musuem, Jefferson County Public Library, and in Arapahoe County. All voted to address issues in their workplaces caseloads and to secure better pay, safety, and respect on the job. Now, they are all at the table with management, bargaining for their first union contract. 

They’ll be joining AFSCME members across the state have already won key protections, including salary and wage increases, bilingual pay, better sick leave and time off, safer workplaces, and strong worksite representation, and much more. That’s the power of a union contract!
