Welcome to AFSCME Colorado. We make Colorado happen. We keep our children and families safe and healthy, our communities clean and welcoming, and ensure all Coloradans have access to quality public services. We’re proud of the work we do because public service isn’t just a job. It’s a calling.  

We are the folks who work in our libraries, our schools, on our roads, in museums and other cultural institutions. We are human service workers who keep children and families safe. We work in housing and in higher education, and behind the scenes keeping government offices and services running.  

We have joined together as AFSCME Colorado because public services workers are the backbone of our communities. We deserve respect and a voice on the job. Together, we negotiate for better benefits and working conditions, and for quality public services.  

We are thousands of workers across Colorado and part of the largest and most powerful union for public service workers in the country -- the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). We are thousands strong across Colorado and 1.4 million strong across the country.
